Clinical approach: hypokalemia paralysis periodic with type 2 diabetes mellitus and insulin

Hypokalemic paralysis periodic (HypoKPP) also known as familial hypokalemic (FHPP) or primary FHPP is rare case characterized by muscle weakness and estimated prevalence of around 1 in 100.000. Insulin a treatment for diabetes that decreases blood potassium levels, therefore, it necessary to further investigate the causes hypokalemia. This will be topic discussion if there correlation with FHPP. A 32-years-old Indonesian woman diabetic who has symptoms indicate HypoKPP, her twin-sister suffered same suspected having difficult diagnose due genetic, other causal factors must eliminated, uncommon references.
